Robert A. Jackson is the founder of Moving Forward Empowerment Services LLC, a company that provides personal finance, credit, homeownership, rental and post-purchase counseling. Robert teaches clients how to achieve their financial goals by first changing their thoughts, then their actions and finally changing their results. Robert is very compassionate about teaching individuals and families the importance of financial literacy and the many benefits of owning a home. Robert has helped hundreds of families clean up their credit, purchase homes, save for retirement, build emergency savings, avoid foreclosure, and become debt-free.
Robert has been teaching finance and homeownership classes for over 20 years with both private and government agencies. Robert has been on WTVR Channel 6 news as well as Channel 12 news teaching families how to achieve their dream of homeownership. Robert was featured in a Times-Dispatch newspaper article for his role in helping several long times public housing residents achieve their goal of homeownership. In addition, Robert has written articles in the local Times-Dispatch Newspaper on the American Dream of Homeownership. Robert is a Certified Financial Counselor, Licensed REALTOR in the state of Virginia, VHDA train-the-trainer, past Vice President of Virginia Association of Housing Counselors, past top producing life insurance agent, and a past recipient of VAHC financial counselor of the year award and served on the board of directors.
